Extremely well stocked with supplies and all sorts of gadgets and home comforts. Christmas decorations and a small gift for each of the children along with a bottle and chocolates were such a thoughtful and nice touch as we were staying over Christmas Day. Just bear in mind it’s a tourist attraction so if you don’t lock the door you may get an unexpected visitor. We really enjoyed our stay. Lots of character and very homely.

We had the BEST stay at Kristine’s cabin! It’s in a sweet small town situated in a perfect location for Golden Circle exploration. It’s so clean and decorated beautifully, and it’s up above the town center so it’s private and so peaceful. Kristine went above and beyond with a sweet welcome of fresh flowers and treats; we felt so at home! The space is perfect for a small family of 3, and the hot tub was the best end of a day. We already want to come back!

We had an amazing stay in the cabin. The setting is gorgeous and peaceful, but still an easy drive to the supermarket (always good when travelling with hungry children). Close drive from the airport and easy to access the major roads for exploring by car. We would love to go back.

Excellent location, everything walkable. Only one included (free) parking spot and we had 2 families, each with a car. But the apartment complex was literally on top of a parking garage, which was quite reasonably priced. Lots of comfy beds. Super responsive hosts.

Lovely place, host was very kind! The location is directly in back yard of host which isn’t ideal for me. But most people don’t mind! But the area is so beautiful. Also the house was immaculate in both style and function. Comfy bed, nice appliances. The view of the water was amazing. Would highly recommend

Checkin was a breeze and Alfa was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. Truly a beautiful home with everything you need, especially if you’re traveling with kids. Views from the home are absolutely stunning and the interior is very warm and welcoming. My family and I enjoyed our stay and would absolutely love to visit again.

We had an amazing stay in this cozy cabin overlooking the water. We rented a 4x4 so the driveway was no issue. This stay was close enough to all the things we wanted to see but far away enough that we felt like we were alone in Iceland. Perfect size for a couple! Warm and cozy in March with spectacular views.

Host was very accommodating for our check in as we arrived in Iceland on a 6am flight. Check in was smooth and the place was described exactly how it was. We felt right at home with all the amenities provided. They even provided safety gates for the stairs as we were traveling with a toddler. If you’re lucky, you could see Auroras through these beautiful glass windows (I think we were too late for Aurora season). It’s private yet accessible, with Bonus and gas stations within less than 5 minutes away. The place is ideally located for exploring the Golden Circle. We had an enjoyable stay and would definitely visit again if we are back in Iceland.

We had a great time at the cabin! Actually, one of the highlights was our host Ylfa, who was always very helpful, provided a lot of very detailed information up front and reacted very quickly to all remaining questions we had - the communication was really a pleasure to us and on a level I have not experienced on Airbnb before. About the cabin: Our kids (3 and 6 years old) very much liked what they referred to as "the play cave", which is the upstairs sleeping loft. The kitchen is well equipped with all necessary things needed, far exceeding what would be minimal kitchen setup. Another highlight to us was the hot tub, which we used almost every day (despite wind and a bit of rain outside). The open view towards the west is very suitable to search for Northern Lights in the dark or just watch the stars. We mainly used the cabin as our homebase to different day tours around in western Iceland. In total, we really had a great time!
