Really enjoyed our weekend away, great communication from the start. Quite and quirky cottage, so peaceful even though it's on a road, this wasn't a problem for us.. The hot tub was amazing.. A great extra to the weekend...☺️☺️

A fabulous place! Peaceful and private. The surroundings were stunning and the accommodation was spacious and very special. The swimming pool, jacuzzi and gym were excellent and very clean and the games room impressive. We had an amazing few days.

What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

Had a great time at the Wisteria Lodge - very clean, hosts were very friendly and was perfect for a quiet getaway from the city. Would recommend!

Cottage really cosy with a beautiful garden. Very modern kitchen which was very well equipped. Bathrooms also modern and clean . Bedrooms had comfortable beds and lots of storage. Hot tub was a super feature especially after a day of walking. Would definitely recommend.

A perfectly relaxing and rejuvenating stay at Blackthorn was just what my wife and I needed! Quiet, comfy and spotlessly clean we enjoyed the lovely vista from the veranda, our swims in the pool and soaks in the hot tub. Peter and Karen made us feel so welcome and gave us the benefit of their extensive local knowledge with recommendations for eating out and places to visit. An absolutely ideal retreat for seeing the many local attractions or to maybe stay on site to make the most of the lovely relaxing setting. We look forward to visiting again.

The Badgers Den is by far one of the best places we have stayed in on Airbnb! Chris and Erick are amazing hosts, always helpful and responsive. The place is immaculate, clean and very homely. The gardens around are incredibly well maintained by Chris and Erick too! The pool, steam room and hot tub are such a great bonus, being able to use them at anytime is amazing! We will definitely be coming back!

Natalie war die perfekte Gastgeberin. Alle Anfragen wurden sofort beantwortet. Für uns stand Gebäck und für unseren Hund Leckerchen bereit. Wir haben uns sofort wohl gefühlt. Der Garten lädt zum Verweilen ein, wir konnten abends noch die Sonne genießen. Die Gegend ist sehr ruhig und wir konnten wunderbar schlafen. Zum Strand mit der schönen Promenade sind wir ca. 30 Minuten gelaufen. Das Cottage ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen Kurzurlaub braucht. Es ist ein wundervolles Cottage, wir werden bestimmt wiederkommen.

The house is very pleasant and welcoming, and we instantly felt at home. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare and cook meals, which is very useful as this part of Sussex, and Alfriston itself, has really good quality food available. The sitting room and bedrooms are tastefully decorated and comfortable. The village of Alfriston is also beautiful, with at least 4 good pubs and restaurants, and a simple walk around the Tye beside the river and church is wonderful.

We recently stayed at this lovely cottage from December 29th to January 1st, and we can’t recommend it highly enough! The cottage was well-maintained, super cosy, and felt like a perfect little escape. Here are some of the highlights: Location The cottage is right on the edge of the South Downs, and waking up to those fantastic views every morning was such a treat. It’s also conveniently close to Newhaven for shopping, with reliable and frequent public transport options. We rented a car for part of our stay, and while parking near the cottage can be a bit tight for larger vehicles (as the listing clearly mentions), it wasn’t a major issue for us. One of the things we loved most was the tranquillity—you could hear nothing at night, which was such a refreshing change. If you’re visiting in winter, don’t forget your boots for those beautiful South Downs walks! Where do I start? This Airbnb was absolute perfection. It was blissfully private and quiet, tucked away in the most peaceful setting. The host was incredibly welcoming, the space was stylish and spotless. If you're looking for a serene escape, this is it. Thank you so much Michal and Toby. An incredible place to stay for our family of four and two dogs. It met all of our needs being a perfect place for two adults to relax and enjoy, two children to play and be entertained, and two dogs with walks and comfort galore! I was incredibly impressed, Caroline has truly thought of everything to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable and we had absolutely everything we could need to experience a high quality home away from home. The garden is an absolute inspiration and we loved the location, which is very picturesque, quiet and lovely to be opposite the church. It was surprising how close to all the shops you are as well where we were able to get anything we needed. We had local Chinese takeaway and also enjoyed a greek restaurant on the final night, both serving up excellent food. I cannot fault our stay at all, we went for long walks as a family, visited Arundel castle, and Littlehampton's west beach cafe. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this stay to anyone :)

The cottage was a real home from home. Really important for us as we had to stay for two months whilst work was being done on our house. It was warm (essential in January and February), cosy, comfortable and extremely well equipped. John and Jane were thoughtful and helpful. After a very stressful few months we were able to relax and enjoy our extended holiday.

Our third stay and just as wonderful as those prior! An idyllic property and area. Always pristine with a wonderfully large/pretty/safe garden for our two dogs. The area is beautifully peaceful and has some fabulous local walks, and it’s well placed for travelling to various nearby towns and beaches. A perfect trip for a change of scenery and some much needed downtime. Looking forward to our fourth trip later in the year!

Melanie as a host was helpful and responsive. Her communication regarding parking and location was excellent and the property contained lots of information about what was available in the area. The cottage easily accommodated six people. The water was hot and the shower powerful (though there would be a need to use the immersion heater if several people wanted to use the bath). The location is stunning. I return to my opening remarks however. Melanie was incredibly helpful.

Thank you Sandra for a wonderful stay. We had the most peaceful weekend at your beautiful cottage, what a treat to see the Spring lambs in the field opposite! We loved the hottub and the garden space especially, and the very quick wander to the local village shops and pubs.

We had a lovely overnight stay in The Hayloft. We were going to an event at The Knepp Estate and the accommodation is ideally located a short walk away. The Hayloft was beautifully furnished, clean and warm and Penny was very communicative to ensure our arrival was smooth. Would definitely recommend!

Logement totalement conforme à ce que nous avions vu sur l annonce. Au calme, proche de la mer. Seule remarque, les prix dans la region sont quand même très élevés et pas sûr de bien comprendre pourquoi ? Le ligement de sharon etant quand même un des moins chers.

Our second time staying at Jenny's cottage which is immaculately presented and has everything you could want for a cosy stay! On both occasions we were able to park right outside the cottage which was super convenient. We're also big fans of the local Italian restaurant Mamma Mia, as well as the record store Slipped Discs!

Amazing stay at an oustanding place! The thoughtfulness in every small detail made the holiday very welcoming; amenties were provided which removed alot of stress and planning and can only thank you for having us, look forward to future stays! Feel renovated after a few nights there

A beautiful home with all the little extras to make our stay comfortable. We felt extremely at home. Joan left us some great places to visit and things to do.

We absolutely loved our stay at Beth's place in Keymer, the place itself lived up to and exceeded our expectations. It was spotlessly clean, extremely well appointed and was stocked with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Beth even provided some welcoming goodies which included local produce and a chilled bottle of wine! The cottage had plenty of room for our family of four, and we all slept brilliantly in our very comfy beds. The view out of the double room windows was of the South Downs and was picturesque. Location wise it was ideal for us, as we used Hassocks station to get around and it was just a 10 minute walk away with links to Brighton and Worthing. The Greyhound pub was just down the road and we enjoyed a pint and a game of pool there on the Friday evening, the locals were out in full force but they were very welcoming. All in all a superb and memorable stay, we would certainly like to come back for a return visit in the future. Thank you Beth
