What a charming chalet! My family and I really enjoyed staying here for spring break. We fished and paddle boated in the pond, enjoyed the fire pit, and explored the resort. The house was well-stocked, and the host is kind, helpful, and communicative. Would highly recommend!

We have stayed a couple of times now with Don and his wonderful wife. They are such good people! This area is nice and peaceful, and we have always felt safe. Everything is exactly as described and there are no surprises. Great place to stay, and hopefully it will be available the next time we get to visit our grandson!

We took a 3 day weekend trip for Spring break. The cabin was in a nice peaceful area. There was plenty of room in the cabin for our family of 7. The resort area and amenities were nice and all the security and staff at the resort were kind and helpful. Shawn was quick to respond to any questions I had and was even proactive in reaching out to us before we arrived. Our kids have all asked to return to the cabin for another stay.

We picked Charlton’s home for three couples’ annual birthday trip and everything from the start of booking to check-out and in between was perfect. Charlton was a super host and always responsive if we had a question. The home was very clean, super stocked, the furnishings were pleasingly tasteful and the setting was great! Over the years we have traveled to NC, TN, AR and MI for this annual trip and while we always enjoyed our rentals and surroundings, Charlton’s home is the first one that we all said we would go back and stay again! Thanks for a great stay!

This house was perfect for a weekend getaway! The house was well stocked from kitchen items, towels, and toiletries. The hot tub was clean and functional. There was plenty of extra blankets. The hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive to any questions but also proactive in giving instructions. I would absolutely stay again and recommend to others.

The hiding place is a cute, historic home with enough bedrooms for our family Thanksgiving/Christmas with 10 adults and 6 kids. We booked this place because it was the most affordable option with as many bedrooms as we needed, and it ended up being a great find! We loved our stay! It is an old home with old home charm and quirks (don't put a level on the floor), but bathrooms are updated and the house was CLEAN! I can tell Robyn continues updating, because a new stove was installed right before our visit. Being an older home, it is not open concept, so there was no one room that fit everyone at the same time. This was really only a concern when we did our Christmas gift exchange. Some people stood in the doorways. Between the breakfast room and the dining room, there was the perfect separation for a kids table and an adult table for meals. The basement was a nice open space for the kids to play! Very easy access to I-70, but far away enough that it is definitely residential.

Our family absolutely loved this property. My husband and I stayed here along with our three elementary aged children. We immediately felt right at home and quickly relaxed in the peaceful surroundings. We cooked all our meals in the kitchen with ease. We slept comfortably in the beds with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Every accommodation was well thought out. We had everything we could possibly need in the kitchen. We love board games and we’re excited to play from the many selections. The hot tub was a favorite activity for all 5 of us. The kayaks were another great activity. We enjoyed it here so much that we minimized our activities away from the house so we could soak up the fun, rest, and beauty of this property. Thank you, Michael, for all the thought put into this oasis.

Beautiful home and property! SO much to do in the area. The home has games, movies and everything we needed for our long weekend. We’ll definitely be back!

The house was very nice and clean. Beautiful holiday decorations. Highly recommend for 2 people. Backyard was smaller than expected and was not large enough for dogs. The owners were very quick to respond! Definitely would book again.
