Retired Royal Guard Iconic London Walk

I invite you to join me to see Royal palaces and other iconic royal sites, hear personal stories of my experiences with members of the Royal Family and even get to see a piece of Prince William's and Kate's wedding cake! We will start at Trafalgar Square and hear about its history and then move on to see the pomp and pageantry of the Changing of the King's Life Guard. We then walk along The Mall to St James' Palace and Clarence House where I will tell you tales of Princes William and Harry the night before William's wedding. Next is a short walk to Buckingham Palace where you will have more opportunities to take photos and hear stories of the Royal household. We then walk into picturesque St James' Park where there is a chance to pause (kiosk available for drinks) and look at gifts presented to me by members of the Royal family. On the way to Parliament Square I will tell you all about the Palace of Westminster (Houses of Parliament and Big Ben). The final part of the walk takes us along Whitehall, past Downing Street (home of the Prime Minister) and then to the spot where King Charles 1st was executed. We will finish back at Trafalgar Square. Other things to note: If on the 2pm walk we will see a shortened Guard change at 4pm. We will have an opportunity on the way for a short stop for you to buy drinks and visit a toilet.

No experience is needed—just a willingness to explore! You can take your experiments home as a keepsake of the day • Then, we’ll explore some of the neighbourhoods hidden gems, from spots filled with music to the perfect place for a coffee break, plus shops overflowing with unique finds. There will also be some animal and nature encounters sprinkled along the way.

Penny Farthing Bike Tour London

Go back in time and ride a penny farthing bike on the streets of Westminster in central London. Since the late 19th century, Londoners have had a continued love affair with the high wheel bicycle, officially named the Penny Farthing bike for their wheels’ resemblance to the British penny and farthing coins. • We'll meet at the culturally significant London Scottish House in Westminster and we'll introduce you to the bike and provide you with your safety equipment. • Then we'll head out onto the streets where you will learn to safely mount, ride, and dismount. • After a short coffee break, we’ll head out on a leisurely guided journey around the Westminster area, past many iconic locations such as the Palace of Westminster, the gardens of 10 Downing Street and Buckingham Palace. After a short photo stop, we’ll roll on back to London Scottish House and return to the present day. PLEASE NOTE, this is a physically demanding experience and is recommended for intermediate to advanced adult bike riders at least 5 feet and 3 inches (160 centimeters) tall and under 220 pounds (100 kilograms). Although we take all the safety precautions we can and do our best to create a fun, secure environment for guests, there is risk of injury maneuvering a penny farthing bike and you will be participating at your own risk.

The Great Medieval City of Exeter

Please contact me to check availability, thanks .You will be taken on an immediately friendly, factual, relaxed, under the skin tour of one of the world's great medieval cities. Using my extensive local guiding knowledge you will experience intimate areas of the city not normally shown to the public. You will see things largely unknown, surprisingly, to even its own citizenry! I will personally guide you through living history from Roman roots AD50, the Rougement Castle of William The Conqueror 1068, Northernhay Gardens, Englands very first public space 1612, Britains' narrowest street 14th century and the 2 great medieval halls 1130 and 1471 to which we will have unique access. Along the way we'll delve into 1680s witchcraft, when Exeter became the last place in England to execute witches, The Prayer Book Rebellion 1549, Norman Conquest 1060s, Insurrection 1497, Vikings 1003, both World Wars, Royal births and the Woollen Cloth Trade which paid for all of it, and made Exeter the 3rd wealthiest city outside London. What I've described will be a delightful 3 hours and I haven't even mentioned the great Cathedral nor the waterways... Bring a curious mind, a camera, comfortable shoes and you will not be disappointed!

Bath Cycle Tours

A fun and enjoyable way to take in the city's famous buildings, historic sites and pleasure gardens before joining the Kennet and Avon Canal cycle towpath for a ride through history along the Avon Valley. The valley is abundant with wildlife and historical sites including the 'Dundas Aqueduct'. Returning to Bath, you will cycle through a Victorian railway tunnel (Two Tunnels Path), the longest cycling tunnel in Britain. The interactive light and sound installation in the tunnels provide a real ‘wow’ factor before you emerge overlooking the city, followed by a pleasant roll downhill to the cycle path along the River Avon back into the city. Our groups are a maximum of 6-8 riders ensuring a more personal experience. Guests will need to be able to cycle a bicycle safely. Tours are suitable for all abilities although a basic level of fitness is required. The minimum age for a rider is 12 years old. The routes are mostly traffic free, mainly flat with some small climbs.

Discover scandals and court plots that make Game of Thrones seem dull! * Secondly, we will learn about Jonathan Tyers `The Maker of Dreams ' and owner of the Vegas and Disney of the 18th century. Discover how Jonathan became wealthy and inspired generations of wealth creators! * Thirdly, we'll see the home of the suffragist Millicent Fawcett, whose house entertained 19th century feminists, bohemians, and radicals. Discover how Millicent changed the world! Finally we will look at how the stories of Katherine, Jonathan and Millicent are all about your values and how you choose to interpret their time on earth! Other things to note This is a gentle great for groups and solo travellers walk that will take place in all types of weather. The last stop is Vauxhall Park, which is minutes away from the Vauxhall underground, bus, and railway stations. I will provide hand sanitiser.
